How does it work?
First you schedule a discreet, confidential interview with us at our Singapore office located at No. 1 Coleman Street, The Adelphi, Suite 07-11, Singapore 179803. This 1 hour interview enables us to carefully discern what it is you look for in a potential partner. We talk about what has worked for you in the past (and what hasn’t) and what your interests are. Then, we match you with other clients who are compatible with your personality, interests and aspirations for the future.

How are clients matched?
We select a person for you based upon the information we discuss in the interview. Our clients are successful professionals that reside throughout Singapore. We can match you with lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, bankers and many more. Our consultants and coordinators have years of experience and create matches based on personality and physical requirements. Our service isn’t about video or computer dating; it’s about an insightful, professional IJL staff member hand-selecting appropriate matches based upon your desires, goals, motivations and our instincts.

How is the date arranged?
Once we select a match for you, we contact you by phone to tell you about the date we have chosen for you in Singapore. We respect your confidentiality and only give out your first name, never revealing your address, phone number or company name. We give you a concise description of your potential date and why we think this match is appropriate. Everything we know about you is taken into consideration for this process.

How and where do I meet my date?
The only work you need to do is to show up at the restaurant and enjoy the date. We handle every step. If your schedule makes meeting for lunch difficult, we can arrange for a drink after work or even brunch at the weekend. Our goals are that the match is well-suited and the time and place are convenient for both of you. We schedule dates at some of the best restaurants in Singapore, including Rogues, The Prime Society, Cilantro, Bice and many more. Our wonderful restaurant partners help us create an environment that makes getting to know the other person as natural (and fun!) as possible.

What happens next?
Almost 70% of our first dates turn into second dates! At the end of the date, you can exchange business cards or phone numbers and make plans to get together again. Following each date, we ask that you call us with feedback. From your comments and overall impression of the person, we’ll fine tune your next match so that we can be even more precise in the future. Very high! Many of our first dates result in second dates. And, every week we’re informed of clients who go on hold for each other. We also get invited to the occasional engagement parties or even weddings!!! The first wedding in our Singapore office happened barely 5 months after we opened. Currently we have more than 40 couples who have walked down the aisle after their first introductions through IJL! The first IJL baby also arrived November 2007.
